This patient is a 39-year-old female who presented to my office with complaints of breasts which were larger than desired, particularly in the lower pole, which also demonstrated significant ptosis (drooping). The patient also had extra fat in the flanks, back, and lateral chest regions and had significant laxity of the abdomen. She wished to have more upper pole fullness and less lower pole heaviness and as a result, I felt that a breast reduction with fat grafting to the upper poles would be the best option for long-term improvement.  I also recommended a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) to complete her "Mommy Makeover".

During surgery I performed an anchor scar breast reduction with removal of approximately 200 grams of lower breast tissue from each side.  I then performed liposuction of the flanks, back and lateral chest, but rather than throwing the fat away, I fat grafted 150cc of fat to the upper breast poles to create a more enhanced appearance withouth adding significant weight or "drag" to the breasts.  Finally, I performed a full tummy tuck with abdominal muscle tightening.

This patient recovered smoothly after surgery and was very happy with her new appearance.  She was also very pleased with her improvements in back, neck, and shoulder discomfort due to the breast weight reduction.
