- Complex Breast Revision
This is a 35 year old mother of three who came to my practice after having a prior breast augmentation in Beverly Hills, CA. The patient was very unhappy with her appearance and she demonstrated significant differences in shape and size of the right and left breasts. The patient wished to improve the symmetry and shape of her breasts, and also wanted to increase her overall breast size.
During my evaluation of this patient, I noted that the right breast was much lower than the left breast, and the left breast was tight and had an unnatural shape. I felt that lowering the left breast and raising the right breast, improving the breast pocket shape, combined with an overall increase in implant size would help the patient achieve the natural shape and size she requested.
I performed a revision breast augmentation with repair of the internal breast pockets. Since the prior surgery was performed through an inframammary (under the breast) incision, I used the same incision locations. Due to the patient's large size (she is 6'2") and her significant breast asymmetry, I placed a Mentor silicone gel, smooth, round, 550cc implant on the right, and a 600cc implant on the left.
After surgery, the patient was extremely happy and showed significant improvement in shape, size and symmetry.
