This patient is a 54-year-old female who presented to my office with complaints of oversized breasts, as well as drooping and excess fullness in the back, flanks and medial thighs.  This patient no longer wanted to have implants and was interested in implant removal and fat grafting.  The patient had previously undergone subglandular saline breast augmentation and I felt that preoperative deflation with a later revision (where the implants would be replaced with fat grafting and the breasts would be lifted) would give the patient the best overall results.

Bilateral complex breast revision was performed with complete capsulectomies and implant shell removal, inverted T-scar (anchor scar) mastopexies with lower pole tissue removal, power-assisted liposuction of back, flanks and medial thighs and PureGraft fat grafting to breasts bilaterally.

A total of 240 cc of fat was injected into the right breast and 160 cc into the left breast due to preoperative asymmetry.  After surgery, the patient recovered nicely and she was thrilled that I was able to replace her implants with her own fat in order to maintain a full, youthful appearance without the mainenance of having implants.
