- Breast Lift with Implants
This patient is a 45-year-old female from northern Arizona who came to my Paradise Valley, Arizona, medical office with concerns about her body appearance after having children. This patient wished to have perkier, fuller, and more symmetrical breasts and to have her abdomen and torso contoured.
I felt that this patient would be a great candidate for a "Mommy Makeover" surgery, including breast augmentation with a breast lift, a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with tightening of the abdominal muscles, and liposuction of the love handles.
In surgery, I used Mentor smooth, round, cohesive silicone gel implants. Due to a severe pre-existing size and shape asymmetry, I had to use a 350cc high-profile implant on the right and a 200cc moderate-plus-profile implant on the left to achieve the best size match. I also performed a vertical incision (lollipop-scar) breast lift to reshape the breasts.
After this, I performed a full tummy tuck with the removal of over 2 pounds of skin and fat. I also removed approximately 315 cc of fat from each flank using power-assisted liposuction.
After surgery, the patient recovered nicely, and she was extremely pleased with her new shape. She felt much more confident in bathing suits and fit into a variety of clothes more easily.
