This patient is a 25-year-old female who presented to my Scottsdale office with complaints of severe breast asymmetry which was even difficult to hide in clothes. The patient was noted to have undersized breasts relative to her body size as well as ptotic breasts with a very short nipple to inframammary fold nipple distance. On the left side, the breast was also small with a lesser degree of ptosis. The patient was noted to have significant lipodystrophy of the bra fat area bilaterally which I felt would compromise the aesthetic results. I felt the patient would benefit from bilateral breast augmentation with a circumareolar mastopexy on the left and a circum-vertical mastopexy on the right to correct her asymmetry.  I also recommended power-assisted liposuction of the bra fat to improve her lateral chest contours.

During surgery, I placed Allergan Natrelle Inspira smooth round full profile implants. On the left side, the implant was 695 cc and on the right side, the implant was 560 cc due to her asymmetry and wide base width diameter.  I performed a circumareolar mastopexy on the left and a vertical (lollipop) mastopexy on the right due to the differences in her anatomy.  Overall, she had a major improvement in her overall shape, size and symmetry, and she was extremely happy with her improved appearance.

A MESSAGE FROM DR. COHEN’S OFFICE CONCERNING COVID-19

Dr. Cohen and his staff strongly believes that your health and safety are of the utmost importance. Additionally, Dr. Cohen feels it is his duty to do everything possible to help reduce the strain on the medical system while the coronavirus issue is present.

To that end, we are temporarily closing our office and postponing surgeries as well as in-person visits until further notice. The coronavirus escalation occurred just as Dr. Cohen was transitioning to the office of Dr. Ben Talei, the world renowned facial plastic surgeon, so once in-person examinations begin again, this is where consultations will take place (www.beverlyhillscenter.com).

In the meantime, the office will remain available for any email, telephone, or video inquiries. Additionally, due to cancelling all surgery and in-person appointments, Dr. Cohen has increased availability for virtual consultations. Feel free to schedule a virtual consultation today to explore your future aesthetic surgery options and receive expert recommendations from Dr. Cohen. Please note that 100% of all consultation fees will be donated to the Disaster Philanthropy in order to help those less fortunate during these difficult times (www.DisasterPhilanthropy.org). Stay safe and healthy and Dr. Cohen looks forward to seeing you virtually, and hopefully soon in person!
