This patient is a 37 year old female who presented to my practice with interest in breast reduction surgery. She reported problems with neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain and bra strap grooving. She also had difficulty with finding clothes that fit.
I felt that this patient would be an excellent candidate for breast reduction surgery in order to improve both her appearance and her physical symptoms.
During surgery I performed a wise pattern (anchor scar) breast reduction leaving her nipples connected to the underlying breast tissue. I removed 662 grams from the right side and 751 grams from the left due to a preoperative asymmetry.
After surgery, the patient had immediate relief of her physical symptoms, and was very happy with the improved proportion and perkiness of her breasts.
