This patient is a 42 year old female who presented to my office with interest in facial rejuvenation. In particular, the patient felt she had a "tired" appearance, and was also unhappy with the asymmetry of the brows.

I felt that a subcutaneous browlift would give this patient the best results with regards to surgery. This procedure involves two modest incisions along the hairline above each brow with dissection continuing underneath the skin but above the forehead muscle, thus minimizing the risk of nerve injury and reducing the invasiveness of surgery.

I also recommended botox to eliminate the horizontal forehead creases once the brow was stabilized with surgery. Finally, I recommended Restylane, which is an injectable filler, to smooth out the patient's marionette lines (creases that run from her nose to the corners of her mouth).

This patient was very surprised how little soreness and recovery she had after surgery, and she was extremely pleased with the natural, rejuvenated appearance of her face.
