This patient is a 50 year old female who presented to my office with interest in facial rejuvenation. In particular, the patient felt she had a "tired" appearance.
I felt that a subcutaneous browlift would give this patient the best results with regards to surgery. This procedure involves two modest incisions along the hairline above each brow with dissection continuing underneath the skin but above the forehead muscle, thus minimizing the risk of nerve injury and reducing the invasiveness of surgery. I also recommended Botox for the area between the eyebrows to smooth out the skin.
This patient was very surprised how little soreness and swelling she had after surgery, and she was extremely pleased with the natural, rejuvenated appearance of her face.
