The patient is a 31-year-old female who presented to my office with complaints of back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, bra strap grooving and difficulty with physical activities due to the extremely large and pendulous nature of her breasts. I felt the patient would be an excellent candidate for bilateral breast reduction and expected this would give the patient dramatic improvement in her physical symptoms. (Please note that the irregularities of her abdomen are due to overly-aggressive liposuction performed by another surgeon).
During surgery I performed an anchor scar breast reduction due to the large size of her breasts. On the right side a total of 570 grams were resected and on the left side, the breast was naturally larger and as a result 710 grams of tissue were resected. The patient recovered well and was thrilled with her new appearance and her vastly improved physical symptoms.
