To be honest, since I am not involved with any insurance companies, I am not certain if any of them would cover labiaplasty surgery. I would be very surprised if any of them did cover this procedure as it is generally considered cosmetic surgery. I suppose if a gynecologist recommended the procedure due to labial irritation, difficulty wearing tight pants, or problems with exercise such as riding a bicycle, some insurance companies might provide some financial coverage. My recommendation, for anyone wondering about this, would be to call their insurance company (AHCCCS in your case) and find out what their insurance carrier’s position is on labiaplasty, and also find out if it would need to be recommended by a gynecologist, if the surgeon performing the procedure has to be a provider for the insurance plan, if pre-approval for the procedure is required, etc. I hope that information helped, and best of luck!

I am really interested in this procedure, although I cannot afford to have it done. Is there any record of AHCCCS insurance ever covering for a patient to have labiaplasty? I am going to my dr. to see if he can send AHCCCS a authorization for me to get this surgery and see if they will approve to cover it for me, but I was just wanting to know what my chances are for them to approve it?

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is wonderful blog. A fantastic read. I will definitely be back.
